Hello dear writer! Thank you, thank you, thank you so much for offering one of my requests!

I'm just really happy that one of my rarepairs get offered, so honestly, as long as you heed the DNWs and include my requested characters, I'll be excited about what you write!

But, if like me, you find prompts helpful as a starting point, I do have some suggestions. Feel free to take inspiration from them - or not! Some of the requests are shorter than the others, but that doesn't mean I want them any less. Also, most of my DNWs are more of the just-in-case variety -- not likely to come up, but just to be on the safe side.

Feel free to write in unrequested characters, OCs, or background pairings if it would help the story. Although please don't make them the focus of the fic.

General Likes:

• All level of ratings
• Historical- and canon-typical language, violence, attitudes, and darkness levels all welcome
• Both healthy and unhealthy relationships are welcome! For unhealthy relationships, I'm fine with codependency, folie a deux, romanticised abuse, power imbalance, manipulation, possessiveness, and just general dysfunctionality.
• Setting: pre-, during, or post-canon all welcome. Canon divergence is welcome too.

A Dangerous Man: Lawrence After Arabia (1990): Faisal bin Hussein bin Ali al-Hashemi/T. E. Lawrence

DNW waiver: It's fine to mention Lawrence's scars, although please don't be graphic about them.

Feel free to draw from Lawrence's RL writings!

Their relationship is just so complex. There's affection and love, of course, but they have so many obstacles to face: Feisal's duty and claim, Lawrence's role in the war (it's up to you whether he deliberately lie to Feisal or not), politics and racism.

Prompts:

• AU where Feisal gets Syria.
• There's a scene where someone asks Feisal a question and he answers by reciting the Quran, therefore giving Lawrence leeway to answer anyway he wants. A 5+1 take on this scenario and its variations?
• There's a scene that alludes to Lawrence's illegitimacy (the one where he's in the car with the two politicians, and one of them says 'I believe I knew your father'). Anything that explores his illegitimacy and Lawrence's feelings about it. Does Feisal know? What does Feisal think about it?
• Correspondence between these two, the letters that get sent and the ones that don't. Make me cry.

 

Dead Ringers (1998): Beverly Mantle/Elliot Mantle

DNW Waiver: it's okay if they start exploring their sexuality before the age of 14, although I still prefer it not being the focus of the fic. It's also okay to mention Claire or other women they get involved with, or if Ellie and Bev never actually consummate the relationship. Character death is also okay.

I tried coming up with more helpful prompts for this movie, but I just couldn't. Because I just want more of Bev and Ellie, so anything you can come up with!

Prompts:

• UST: operating a patient together as substitute for sex.
• 5+1 kind of fic about their birthdays.
• How did they begin the women-sharing scheme anyway?

 

James Bond (Craig movies): James Bond/M | Gareth Mallory

Fandom-specific DNWs:

• Q as Vesper's brother
• Dismissing Vesper's importance to Bond/vilifying her/dismissing their love as not real love (not bringing her up at all is preferable.)

I'm a huge fan of both Ralph Fiennes and Daniel Craig, so more of them, please! I love the idea of these two old soldiers finding each other and fall in love. With Mallory, I particularly like how in the beginning of Skyfall he seems to be set up as a villain, but turns out to be an ally and full of surprises - not at all the uptight bureaucrat people expect him to be.

Prompts:

• Suits and cufflinks. These two discussing suits and tailors. Or shopping for suits together. Or really anything involving the gorgeous suits they wear in the movies.
• Competence kink.
• I'd love to see them dropped into a completely different genre and being aware of it. I love horror and detective fiction in particular. Does one of them turn out to be genre-savvy? Maybe Mallory turns out to have encyclopedic knowledge of horror books? It can be crack, can be crack treated seriously.
• The old undercover-as-couple trope!
• If you're up to it (and I realise this is a very big if), quarantine fic. Do they accidentally get quarantined together? Or maybe they're in a secret relationship and have to resort to increasingly absurd ways to keep everyone from finding out? Or just plain domestic fluff!

Watchmen (2009): Dan Dreiberg/Adrian Veidt

If you want to incorporate details from the graphic novel, feel free to do so! But please keep the movie's characterisation for the requested characters.

Prompts:

• Adrian's plan didn't work out: world peace lasts for a couple of years (at most) before the world returns to its usual state of trying to kill each other. How do they face the fact that all those people Adrian murdered died in vain?
• Time loop. It can be at any point during canon - maybe on the day Dan warns Adrian about the mask killer? Or post canon, even. Who realises that they're being trapped in a loop: Adrian, Dan, or both? What do they do to try breaking the loop?
• Early 20th century archaeology AU with archaeologist Adrian. Is Dan the wealthy donor sponsoring his dig? Or maybe he's the engineer working on a nearby railroad/dam/whatever project?
• A/B/O AU, disenfranchised omega. Alpha!Dan, Omega!Adrian. How would this affect them? Is Adrian the only omega mask? Is that why the Comedian is so hostile to him? Would being an alpha bring any change to Dan's personality, given that canonically he's pretty privileged already? (I know A/B/O AUs are tricky, but I'd prefer for male omega not to be overly feminised. And I'm not keen on mpreg either.)
• Historical AU. I'm partial to Ancient Greece/Rome, Victorian, or early 20th century (up to the Interwar period) but really any period would be welcome! (Per DNW, please don't change requested characters' canon gender/race/ethnicity)
